- Mt. Morris Fire Responds to Clinton Ave. for a reported car fire -

On the evening of Tuesday February 3rd, Mt. Morris Fire Co’s responded to a report of a car fire on Clinton Ave. in the Village. Ambulance One-Frank-35 was out on an unrelated medical call just around the corner from the fire alarm. Frank-35 advised responding Fire Co’s that there was a van in a driveway with the engine compartment on fire. They also advised that the van was approximately 15 feet from the house and garage at that residence. Chief Hough arrived on scene and assumed Command. He ordered Engine Co. 5702 to pull 2, 1 ¾” handlines, one to the van and the other for the exposure. Heavy Rescue Co. 5747 and Truck Co. 5759 also operated at the scene.
