- Mt. Morris Fire Responds to Leaf River for a Barn Fire -
On Wednesday December 24, 2009 the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District responded mutual aid to Leaf River for a barn fire. Mt. Morris sent Tender Co. 5776 as a third alarm tender. Upon arrival Leaf River Fire Companies found an approx. 100 x 50 barn fully involved. Fire crews had the fire under control in about an hour and remained on scene doing overhaul for several hours.
