- Mt. Morris Fire Responds to Oregon for a Structure Fire -
On Saturday April 4th, 2009 the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District responded mutual aid to Oregon for a report of a structure fire. Oregon Fire Chief Heller arrived on scene of 674 S. Ridge Road to find heavy smoke venting from a two story wood frame structure. Mt. Morris was requested to respond with a Tender. Fire companies operated on the scene for approximately 2 hours before they were released by Command.
