- Mt. Morris Fire Responds Mutual Aid to Leaf River for a Structure Fires -
On November 14th, 2010 Mt. Morris Fire was requested to respond mutual aid to the Leaf River Fire Protection District for a structure fire in the Village of Leaf River. The Fire occured in an apartment building in the downtown area shortly after 12:30pm. Mt. Morris Fire was requested to respond on a second alarm with an Engine, Truck, and Chief. Leaf River Co's arrived to find heavy fire and smoke venting from the rear of the century and a half old structure. Ultimately the fire progressed to a third alarm MABAS with a special call for an Ambulance from Mt. Morris. Mt. Morris Co's operated on the scene until approximately 5:30pm.
