- Mt. Morris Fire responds to the 3000 Block of W. IL Rt. 64 for a one vehicle accident -
On January 14, 2011 the Mt. Morris Fire Protection District received a report for a one vehicle accident with entrapment and that the vehicle was smoking. Chief Hough arrived on scene to find a single vehicle on it's wheels that hit a tree head on in the ditch. Companies extricated the driver of the vehicle and he was transported by Lifeline Helicopter to an area hospital.
