- Mutual Aid Forreston - 7366 N. Adeline Rd. - Structure Fire -
At 11:46 hrs on March 19th the Forreston Fire Department requested mutual Aid from Mt. Morris Fire. Mt. Morris responded to 7366 N Adeline Rd. in rural Forreston with an Engine Co. and a Chief. Forreston Fire had made a quick knock down on an attic fire in a three unit apartment building. Mt. Morris co's assisted in salvage and overhaul operations. Stubborn fire imbedded in blown-in insulation within the truss space required fire co's to remove all the ceiling. Both ceiling and insulation from the entire second floor of the structure had to be removed. Leaf River Fire also responded per Forreston Command and assisted with overhaul. Over all fire co's operated on the scene for almost four hours.
