- Mutual Aid Polo - School Bus Rollover -
On January 12th Mt. Morris Fire responded on a MABAS Box to Polo Fire for a occupied school bus rollover. The bus rolled over just to the North of US Route 52 on Freeport Rd. Polo Asst. Fire Chief Karrow activated the districts Mass Casualty card and rapidly stuck alarms, ultimately reaching a fifth. Mt. Morris Fire responded with an ALS Ambulance, a Chief and a Heavy Rescue Co. Mt. Morris EMS transported one patient, while fire co's assisted in triage and packaging of patients. Chief Hough assisted with transportation logistics under the direction of Operations Chief Jim Ports of Polo Fire.
